Feedback At Last! Things to see improved


When you're as close as I am to a project like this, you can't see the game through new player's eyes anymore.

As my brother puts it, "too close to the trees to see the forest."

Thankfully, someone has come through with some actual insight from a user's perspective on the game!


Without further ado, here are the top new priorities to polish on ALL:

  • The Main Menu (title screen) will no longer be returned to between gameplay scenes. This caused break of immersion and confusion for players.
  • Players will be lead to the Lobby/Lab area of the game first to give them a type of guide tutorial or objective to give the player clear direction and progress.
  • The elevator in the 3rd person lobby/lab will be the new menu to select levels. Smoother transition between gameplay.
  • Add an objective prompt in the  in-game UI to give the player more direction.
  • The Lobby/Lab area will now be the primary focus for players to build on when checking on the aliens that they have rescued throughout the game. Other "lab" themes and mechanics will be formed to make this portion of the game make more sense.

Now that the slice is in a "polishing" state, I am really looking for any new ways to generate revenue to create this project. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
